Trevor O. Jones
Founder, Chairman
has had a distinguished career of over 45 years as an industrial executive and as an innovative engineer. He has received 15 patents and has published numerous award winning scientific papers. In the past, Mr. Jones has been responsible for starting greenfield product development organizations in the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom while working for General Motors Corporation and TRW, Inc. During his career, Mr. Jones has been responsible for major programs in the Nuclear, Defense, Aerospace, and Automotive industries. More recently Mr. Jones was appointed Chairman of the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition. Mr. Jones has formed and has been the chairman of many small to medium-sized industrial joint ventures and Chairman and CEO of large companies, such as Libbey-Owens-Ford Co. and Echlin, Inc., with annual sales of $1 to over $3 billion. Mr. Jones is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, a Life Fellow of IEEE, a fellow of IEE (UK), an Honorary Fellow of IMechE (UK), a Professional Engineer (PE) and a Chartered Engineer (CEng) in the UK and has received many honors for his technological contributions. Mr. Jones is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Cleveland State University, a member of the Industrial Advisory Committee to the Department of Biomedical Engineering, CWRU and a member of the Executive Development Committee of the new Cleveland Clinic Heart Center. Robert L. Purcell III
B.A., Executive M.B.A., President and Chief Operating Officer
joined BIOMEC in 1999 and has held various management positions within the organization before being appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2007. Mr. Purcell’s various positions included time as the Director of Finance, Director of Operations, Vice President of Administration, as well as serving as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Company since 2003. Mr. Purcell has nearly 20 years of experience in finance and administration fields with a variety of medical device, distribution and manufacturing companies. Prior to joining BIOMEC, Mr. Purcell worked as the Controller for Allen Medical Systems in Cleveland, OH. Mr. Purcell also served in the Ohio Army National Guard as a Material Control and Accounting Specialist. He received his Accounting degree from The University of Akron and his M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management. |
